Louben became a certified personal trainer in 2009 and started out as a physical therapist tech at Cypress Creek Physical Therapy (now Motion Physical Therapy) in Severna Park. Working alongside some of the most skilled physical therapists in the area gave him a deep understanding of biomechanics, injury recovery, and how to tailor exercise to the person in front of him.
To work safely with clients who have complex medical conditions, he went on to nursing school, earning an associate degree in Health and Exercise Fitness and an associate degree in Registered Nursing from Anne Arundel Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Frostburg State University.
His role todayThe clinical eyes behind every program.
Louben trains each of our trainers to work with medical conditions and injuries, and he reviews or helps design the programs our team writes so every plan meets the same standard of safety and effectiveness. He supports our highest-complexity cases, including post-op clients, chronic conditions, and clients coming out of cardiac rehab, and he leads our weekly team review, where trainers discuss client progress and continue their education.
Many of our clients come from Severna Park neighborhoods like Shipley’s Choice, Chartridge, and Cape Arthur. Repke Fitness started in Severna Park, and our Millersville studio is just a short drive up Benfield Road and Veterans Highway.

In their own words.
“My dad is 89 years old and has started with alzemezers. Our family wants to still try and keep him active. I talked to Louben about him, and he designed a program that was perfect for him. He was so kind and patient with my dad.”
