Covid Policy as of 01/01/2022
Due to a rapid increase in covid numbers in Anne Arundel County, there is currently a Mask Mandate in effect for all businesses/indoor places in the County. Repke Fitness will be abiding by the current mandate. Click here to read more about Executive Order #56 about the mask mandate.
Masks: Repke Fitness is requiring a mask for all of our clients who choose to continue their training. We know some people may choose to pause or stop their training because they don’t want to wear a mask. We respect your decision if that’s the route that you choose, just let us know so we can remove you from the schedule for now. For those that will be training, please wear a mask to your sessions and if you forget yours at home we’ll have one available but we would like to save ours for only when clients forget theirs.
Clients are only required to wear one mask but like health care providers do in the hospitals, our trainers will wear two masks when they’re with clients. All of our staff are fully vaccinated.
As of 12/27/2022, the CDC recommends you only need to quarantine for 5 days instead of the original 10 days. However, Repke Fitness will require all clients and staff to quarantine for at least 7 days and be asymptomatic before returning to training. And of course, you’ll have to wear a mask like everyone else during your training once you return.
Exposure: If you come in close contact with someone who tested positive and you were not wearing a mask, then we require at least 3 days of quarantining AND be asymptomatic, or have a negative covid test (taken between 3 to 5 days after exposure), before returning to training. If you were wearing a mask when the exposure occurred then as long as you are asymptomatic you don’t need to quarantine.
A positive client or trainer:
If someone – such as a client or member of staff – tests positive and you trained when they were in the facility, then we will notify you ASAP. We ask that you please let us know of any exposures that you have outside the studio as well. If you are wearing a mask and the other person who tested positive was wearing a mask the whole time then the CDC doesn’t require quarantining as long as you don’t develop symptoms.
Masks, what’s the point? While this is a tough debate whether they work or not. History has shown us sometimes what seems common sense or basic things to do isn’t always recognized at the time. #1 we are following the executive order and #2 we are airing on the side of safety.
