As the best personal training studio in the Severna Park and Millersville area, we like to be transparent. Not like most gyms or facilities who hides everything just to get you in the door. We only want serious and committed clients, who are ready to transform their lives. So read below to see if we’re a good fit. If so, then contact us to schedule your FREE training session with us.
Below you’ll find our rates, expectations, and questions potential clients tend to ask. However, if you don’t find what you’re looking for then please give us a call or send us an email because we would love to help you.
What exactly does a personal trainer do?
At Repke Fitness, our personal trainers are highly skilled and nationally certified and have many roles when working with clients. Your personal trainer will serve as a coach, teacher, and motivator. We will assess your current physical and mental state, establish very specific goals, design an individualized program, and do whatever it takes to keep you on track so that you can get your desired results.
We will also hold you accountable for workouts and your nutrition on days that you do not train with us. There are 168 hours in a week, you spend 2 of them with us. It’s what you do in those 166 hours that will make a difference. It’s why we are in constant communication with our clients, provide them feedback about their eating and assign homework (exercises outside of your training). We can about your success!
How do Repke Fitness trainers differ from trainers at commercial gyms like Gold's Gym, LA Fitness, 24-Hour Fitness, or other fitness establishments like Curves?
Repke Fitness has no alliances to corporate gyms, and we work for our clients only. Unfortunately, many corporate trainers are paid bonuses and are under a lot of pressure to sell supplements, among other products, to their clients – whether the client needs them or not. It is a corporate trainer’s job to keep you coming in, whether you’re making progress or not. At Repke Fitness, we don’t sell ANY supplements to our clients. Why? Because the majority of people don’t need them!
Most gyms have high turnover with their trainers, only hire part-time personal trainers and they have little to no experience. NOT US! For starter, Repke Fitness Personal Training is the only fitness facility in the area that only employs full-time certified personal trainers. In addition, our fitness experts have been in the fitness field for an average of 3.5 years. Our personal trainers are highly qualified experience ranging from working side by side the best physical therapists in the Severna Park and Millersville area. Some of our trainers’ experience range from working in a physical therapy setting to hands-on clinical experience at various local hospitals such as Anne Arundel Medical Center, Sinai Hospital, BWMC etc. Lastly, ALL of our trainers have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. So you’re truly working with fitness experts who get results! You can find out more about our trainers here by visiting our trainer’s page.
What is the environment like at Repke Fitness?
Repke Fitness is a private personal training studio with friendly trainers and clients. We only provide fitness services to clients who want to be here and are looking to lead a better life through fitness and health. We do not have any “muscle heads” in our fitness studio – they are not our type of clientele. Our workouts are always fun, yet challenging, and our clients come in on an appointment basis. Our studio is just the right size to have several clients working out at a time. So you’ll never feel like you’re in a group class because we do not offer group classes. We strictly do personal training – so you can get the attention that you deserve. We also keep our studio extremely clean. Our client, Tracy H., once stated, “This is a great place for you if you are a germaphobe.”
If I become a Repke Fitness client, how long am I committed for?
Unlike most fitness establishments, Repke Fitness does not have membership fees or long-term contracts. We offer training session packages, in which you have the option to buy 10-personal training sessions or 30-personal training sessions at a time. The training sessions you pay for will never expire and you can use them as often as you like. We recommend training 2 times per week depending on your fitness and health goals. About 90% of our clients only workout with us twice a week and get great results. We’ll also help you stay on track on days you don’t workout with us.
Do Repke Fitness trainers know how to train someone with a medical condition or physical injury?
Repke Fitness trainers specialize in helping clients with medical conditions or physical injuries. A majority of our clients have come to us with injuries/conditions that they have been battling for years. No matter what, we will always find a way to give you the best workout, despite any limitations you may have. You are in good hands.
How long will it take for me to see results?
Every “body” is different and responds to exercise differently. Typically, within four to six weeks clients can see noticeable results in their bodies. Most of our clients, who follow our guidelines, see a weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week consistently. Those who have more to lose can see as much as 2-4 pounds per week. However, depending on your specific goals, your results will vary. The biggest difference and results will come from you changing your eating habits, which we will help you with. Your nutrition is 80% of what will get you the results that you desire.
With that being said, you can expect exceptional results! In fact, we’re so confident in our fitness services that we guarantee that you will get results if you follow our guidelines, or we’ll give you 100% of your money back.
What fitness level do I need to be at in order to start training?
As long as you are alive and breathing, we can train you. No matter what fitness level you think you may be at. Our oldest client is 79-years-old and our youngest client is 14. We’ve helped clients who weigh only 100 pounds and we’ve helped clients who weigh over 500 pounds. We have clients who are extremely uncoordinated and those who are highly skilled. Bottom line: We can train anyone. Don’t wait and try to get in shape before you come train with us, it’s like saying you want to get healthy first before seeing a doctor. Our job is to get you in shape!
Do you train clients with injuries or medical conditions?
ABSOLUTELY! Our trainers specialize in training clients who have daily aches and pains or medical conditions. We currently train clients who have Diabetes, cardiac disorders, Spondylolisthesis, Multiple Myeloma, Plantar Fasciitis, Post-Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and many more other medical conditions. Since we are able to work with that population we can also work with clients who doesn’t have the following as well. We pride ourselves in training most clients other trainers would be afraid to work with. We’re not afraid to work with you because our trainers are experts! When you train with us, you are in good hands!
What days and hours are you open?

Will I work with the same trainer for every session?
Depending on your preferences, you may work with different trainers or the same trainer every session. Most of the time you will be working with the same (one) trainer. However, once in awhile we may have you training with a different trainer. Regardless, every trainer you work with will be familiar with your fitness level, as well as your short and long-term goals, so you are guaranteed to receive the very best workout every time. Our full-time trainers meet weekly to collaborate on clients’ goals. It’s why we only employ full-time personal trainers, we collaborate very well. Together, we’re always looking for ways to help you succeed.
Is there an additional charge for nutritional guidance?
No! We offer FREE nutritional guidance to every single client that wants and/or needs it. Why? Because we know that nutrition is one of the most important things that will help you achieve your goals. And when you succeed, we succeed.

What’s included in the initial consultation/FREE session?
During your initial consultation/FREE session – which lasts approximately 1 hour – your personal trainer will gather as much information on your medical and exercise history as possible in order to create the best program for you. Next, your trainer will help you establish realistic goals and discuss the strategies that will be used to accomplish them. Then your trainer will conduct a workout session with you, giving you an idea as to what future workouts will be like. Body fat testing, body girth measurements, flexibility, cardio, and strength testing may all be done once you sign up (second session).
During your FREE workout session, your trainer will demonstrate proper form and technique and explain to you the fundamentals of the specific training that you are focusing on. Although high-intensity training is the ultimate goal, you can expect to take it easy for the first couple of sessions to allow your body to adjust to the new style of training. Your personal trainer will teach you about cardiovascular training, and depending on your program, your trainer will help you establish cardio goals for each week. You will learn about high and low-intensity cardio and how these styles of training fit into your specific program.
How is Repke Fitness different from a gym?
First and foremost, we are privately owned and operated. Our private studio is not for huge crowds. Unlike other fitness establishments, Repke Fitness is the ONLY fitness studio that will end its relationship with clients. What does that mean? If you are not serious about achieving your goals and following our guidelines, then we may terminate your future sessions with us. We want clients that want to train here. We do not want you wasting your time and money, nor do we want to waste our time. Only come to Repke Fitness when you are truly ready to make a change in your life. We will never give up on you, but you must do your part in order for us to help you.
In addition, we don’t just accept any and all client that comes in through the door. If we have someone who wants to come train with us for bodybuilding, power lifting etc. we refer them to someone else. So you’ll never have to worry about having a bunch of meat heads dropping weight and wearing nothing to their workouts. We’re a quiet, fun, private and friendly environment.

Why do we allow this? Because we want clients who want to be here – not people who are miserable and not putting in the effort into their fitness program.

Do you train older clients, what is your youngest client and what is the oldest?
Yes, we do! We have a wide age range of clientele. Our youngest client is 14 years old and oldest is 79 years old. We have everything in between. We actually have 15 clients over the age of 50 – you’re never too old or too young to train with us.
